GCSE Maths Courses
The course is aimed at current year 10 students. It is important that they enrol for the summer session as it will enable them to consolidate and develop further the skills necessary for successful progress.
The GCSE maths course is divided into two classes:
· GCSE foundation
· GCSE Higher
Each is a comprehensive course which if attended regularly will result in a successful GCSE attempt at the required level. We strongly recommend that once started students attend until the date of the required examination.
The course will follow the new scheme which is now more functional and practical in nature. This has resulted in more challenging exam questions and for this more in-depth learning, a strategic approach to understanding questions is required.
The course will be divided into five sections:
· Data
· Numbers
· Algebra
· Shapes
· Revision
The revision session will be crucial and a whole term will be dedicated to it. However, it will be of most benefit to those who have attended the other sessions and have the necessary building blocks in place.
